Fayette, Mo. The Central Methodist University men's soccer team shutout their fifth straight opponent, on their way to a 2-0 victory Friday evening over the Bethany College Swedes at Davis Field in Fayette, Missouri.

With the victory, Central Methodist University moves to 5-0-1 on the season, while Bethany falls to 1-5-0 overall on the season.

Central Methodist controlled the game from the very beginning on Friday evening. The Eagles set the pace and worked to their tempo throughout the night. CMU outshot Bethany 22-5, had 13 shots on goal, to the Swedes five and the Eagles took nine corner kicks to just one for Bethany.

CMU got on the board first on a penalty kick in the 29^th minute, when Richard Osterloh scored to give the Eagles the early 1-0 advantage.

Osterloh was back at it in the second half, extending the lead for the Eagle to 2-0 in the 62nd minute; with his second goal of the evening courtesy of Guilherme Gallucci.

That is all the Eagles would need behind another strong performance in goal from goaltender Cameron Metcalfe. He played all 90 minutes on Friday and pitched the shutout, while making five saves.

The Eagles return to action this Monday, when they hit the road to face Harris-Stowe State University starting at 4pm.
