Fayette, Mo. The Central Methodist University men's soccer fell for the first time in 2015, with a 3-0 conference loss to Baker University on Saturday evening at Davis Field.

With the loss, Central Methodist University falls to 5-1-2 on the season and 0-1-0 in Heart of America Athletic Conference play. With the victory, Baker improves to 7-1-1 overall and 1-0-0 in Heart of America Athletic Conference play.

Saturday's match was very aggressive and also very tight in all statistical categories. There were six yellow cards in the game, three by each team. Baker outshot CMU 13-10 on the evening.

The game between two of the top teams in the Heart of America Athletic Conference was scoreless until the 36th minute, when Amer Didic scored off of a free kick to give Baker an early 1-0 advantage. That score would hold until after halftime.

The Wildcats came out firing on all cylinders to start the second half. Baker got a pair of goals within a minute of each other. The first came off of Steeve Pouna in the 45th minute, with the game's final goal scored in the 46th minute by Aaron Bowers to cap the 3-0 victory.

The Eagles close out their homestand this Wednesday, when they hosts their rivals Missouri Valley College. The men will get things going at 5pm, followed by the women at 7:30pm at Davis Field.
