With the victory, Central Methodist improves to 8-1-2 on the season and 2-1-0 in Heart of America Athletic Conference play. With the loss, Evangel drops to 0-8-0 overall and 0-4-0 in The Heart.

The Eagles dominated on Tuesday evening, scoring six of their eight goals in the first half.

Central Methodist got the board just 15 seconds into the match when Mykhael Bain flicked a header from 40 yards out to Richard Osterloh for the goal.

Just five minutes later, Daniel Tesoro struck a ball from 25 yards out for a goal, assisted by Guilherme Gallucci.

Mykhael Bain scored in the 11th minute with Rafael Ortiz-Ferreira getting the assist to make it 3-0 Eagles. Then in the 20th minute Guilherme Gallucci scored on a pass inside the box from Michael Diepenbrock.

David Hillmann scored the first of his two goals in the 30th minute from a header pass inside the box from Connor Blitz. Hillman's second tally came in the 42nd minute on a pass from Victor Machado; giving CMU the 6-0 lead going into halftime.

In the second half, Mykhael Bain scored his second goal of the night on a pass back inside of the box from Richard Osterloh in the 47th minute. Osterloh added a goal of his own a minute later in the 48th minute on a pass from Rodrigo Buitrago to cap off the 8-0 CMU victory.

The Eagles travel to Oskaloosa, Iowa for another conference match with William Penn this Saturday October, 3rd. The match is scheduled to begin at 7:30pm.
