With the loss, Central Methodist University ends their 2015 season with an overall record of 13-4-2. With the victory, Grand View moves on to a semifinal match with an overall record of 10-7-2.

It was a close aggressive game to begin with. These same two teams met back on October 24th in Fayette, with the Vikings earning a 2-1 comeback overtime victory over the Eagles. Friday night however, it was all Vikings.

Grand View struck first in the 40th minute when a cross in the box from Ajani Clarence found Jordan Lucas to make it 1-0 in favor of the Vikings. That score would hold as the two teams headed to the locker room for halftime.

In the second half, the Vikings wasted no time, as Erick Ornelas scored 28 seconds into the second half on a pass from Paul Riethuis to give Grand View a quick 2-0 lead.

The Vikings scored their third goal of the match seven minutes later, when Simone Raiola hit a dribbler in the box that Jordan Lucas tipped past Eagles goalkeeper Ferran Borras-Marques. With that goal, the stands got quiet at Davis Field with Grand View holding a 3-0 advantage.

Central Methodist got on the board in the 57th minute when Richard Osterloh was given a penalty kick, he did not disappoint and the score became 3-1 Grand View.

The Eagles intensity picked up, but they were unable to score again on Vikings goalie Brin Lapuh.

Danton Irelan scored the matches' last goal in the 87th minute on a pass from Paul Riethuis to put the icing on Grand View's 4-1 quarterfinal victory.
