"We are very happy with Richard's award," said CMU head men's soccer coach Alex Nichols. "His ability to finish in key moments is easily a reason why he is receiving this award. It would have been tough to win several games with our schedule without Richard on the squad this year. He was a big asset to our team."

Richard Osterloh led the Central Methodist Eagles offensively in 2015, with a team leading 13 goals and 28 points. Osterloh started in 15 of the 17 games he played in/ He scored the game-winning goal a team high five times for the Eagles. He finished a perfect 2-for-2 on penalty kicks and he recorded two assists on the season.

Osterloh also made an impact for the Eagles on the defensive end. His aggressive style of play did not only show on the offensive end of the field, but on the defensive side too. Central Methodist as a team experienced a five win turnaround in head coach Alex Nichols' second year at the helm. After going 8-10 in 2014, the Eagles improved to 13-4-2 in 2015 and hosted a first round match in the Heart of America Athletic Conference postseason tournament.
