Men's Soccer Holds Steady at No. 1

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - For the fourth week in a row, Central Methodist University men's soccer remains as the No. 1 team after the latest edition of the NAIA Men's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll.

The Eagles received 17-of-18 first-place votes in the poll, collecting 498 total points. Columbia (Mo.), who came in second in the poll, snagged the final first-place vote. The program went 2-0 on the week with a pair of conference wins over Evangel University and then-No. 17 Baker University.

Central currently boasts an overall record of 15-1 on the season and remains undefeated in conference play. The program is also nationally ranked in a number of categories, such as 2nd in total assists (62), 3rd in total goals (76), 3rd in total shutouts (10), and 4th in shots per game (20.81).

Other Heart programs in the rankings are No. 10 William Penn, No. 16 Grand View, and No. 20 Baker. Missouri Valley is also mentioned in the "others receiving votes" category.

Up next for the program will be a road contest on Saturday, October 26th, against Graceland University. Game time is set for 7:30 PM in Lamoni, Iowa.
