Conway, Ark. - The Central Methodist Men's Soccer team traveled to Conway, Arkansas Monday night to face off against the Central Baptist College Mustangs in their first road test of the season.

The Eagles, looking to improve to 2-0 on the season, opened the scoring in the 26th minute as Hayden Wood notched his first goal of the year. 

After going up 1-0 at the break, Matheus Storck, who was credited with the assist in the opening goal, doubled the visitor's lead in the 51st minute.

Looking to put the match out of reach, Guilherme Pereira made the score 3-0 just five minutes later, as the Valinhos, Brazilian native notched his second goal of the campaign and first from open play.

Storck picked up his second assist of the night in the 60th minute, as Ilhan Dervisevic made the score 4-0 in favor of CMU.

Storck's night was not done yet, as two minutes later he tallied his second goal of the game to push Central's lead to 5-0. 

The visitors would end the goal parade after increasing their lead to 6-0, courtesy of an Andrew Ward goal in the 75th minute. 

The combined goalkeeper efforts of Niccolo Cabras and Morris Van Tuinen resulted in the first clean sheet of the season for the Eagles, with Cabras earning the win between the posts. 

Overall, the Eagles outshot the home side, finishing with 13 shots opposed to the Mustangs' five. 

Central remains on the road where they will face William Woods Friday, August 30th at 4:00 p.m. in nearby Fulton.
