Fenton, Mo. - The Central Methodist Men's Soccer team kept its perfect record intact with a 3-1 road win against Harris-Stowe Tuesday afternoon in Fenton, Mo.
Central improves to 4-0 overall, while the Hornets fall to 0-2-2 in non-conference action.
The Eagles jumped in front quickly via a score from Koen Schimmel in just the ninth minute of play. However, the Hornets tied the game less than five minutes later.
Central would respond in the closing minutes of the half, as Guilherme Pereira scored unassisted for his fourth goal of the year to give CMU a 2-1 lead at the halftime break.
Senior Matheus Storck sealed the win in the 48th minute with his third goal of the year.
As a team, Central's offensive attack combined for 15 total shots including 10 shots on goal. The Hornets tallied seven shots with two coming on frame.
Both Storck and Pereira tallied four shots total while Martin O'Toole finished with three.
Niccolo Cabras earned his fourth win of the year, as the sophomore played all 90 minutes between the posts.
The Eagles return home and will host Jamestown University Saturday, Sept. 7 at 3:00 p.m. at Davis Field.
