Fayette, Mo. - The Central Methodist Men's Soccer program dropped its final weekend home match of the year with a 2-0 loss to Park University Saturday night at Davis Field. 

Prior to the match, the program honored its 2025 senior class which included; Altin Shabi, William Nilsson-Bilander, Antoine Hurel, Rory O'Connor, Aidan Pinto, Koen Schimmel, Murillo Maciel, Alvin Brämhagen, and Cameron Laneman. 

The Eagles found themselves at an early disadvantage. Consecutive red cards in the opening 20 minutes of the first half saw CMU down to just nine players on the field for the final 70 minutes of play. 

As a result, Central had to adjust its strategy to a defensive approach. The Pirates took advantage, scoring a pair of goals in the 21st and 74th minutes of play. 

Park finished the night with 19 total shots and five shots on goal, compared to four shots and three shots on goal for the short handed Eagles. 

CMU now stands at 8-4-5 and 5-3-4 in the Heart of America. 

Central will close out the regular season with a matchup against Baker University Wednesday, Oct 29 at 7:30 p.m. at Davis Field.
