BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Central Methodist University track and field team competed at the Zach Kindler Wildcat Open on Saturday, facing unfriendly wind conditions throughout the event. | RESULTS
Mohammed Nyaoga (FR/Arlington, Tex.) highlighted the day on the track with a 1st place finish, despite the windy scenario. He clocked a time of 49.45 in the 400m Dash to cross first.
Nehemiah Colyer (SO/St. Louis, Mo.) placed 3rd in the 400m Hurdles with a time of 57.36. Joseph Bruemmer (JR/Holts Summit, Mo.) rounded out the medalists on the track in the 5000m Race Walk, post a time of 26:43.62 for a 3rd place finish.
On the field side, Taylor Bottomley (SO/Harrisburg, Mo.) continued to build on a successful 2019 campaign. Last week hit heaved an NAIA National Championship qualifying mark in the discus. This week, he earned a 1st place finish in the same event with a distance of 45.19m. Bottomley also finished in the Top 15 in the javelin throw.
Peyton Besand (JR/Perryville, Mo.) earned a 2nd place finish in the pole vault with a final mark of 4.15m.

- Curtis Johns (FR/Grand Prairie, Tex.) – 100m Dash (6th, 23.32)
- Tyler Reinkeymeyer (SO/Hartsburg, Mo.) – 1500m Run (7th – 4:18.27), 800m Run (10th - 2:09.63)
- John Schell (FR/Higbee, Mo.) – Shot Put (10th – 11.46m)
Up next, Central will play host for the 2019 Heart of America Athletic Conference Outdoor Championship. The two-day event is set for May 3-4 in Fayette, Mo.
