Fayette, Mo. - The (RV) Central Methodist Men's Wrestling team fell to rival and No. 19 nationally ranked Missouri Valley College 28-18 Friday night inside Puckett Field House.
Prior to the dual, the program recognized its first-ever senior class which included; Jaydon Uptegrove, Justin McEnaney, and Brenden Shelton.
Colton King got the night started on the right note with a narrow 9-7 Decision win over No. 21 Brayden Bradley in the 125-pound match. The Vikings responded with a quick pin at 133, before Mitchell Huber answered with a first period pin of his own over Hayden Ferrell at 141 pounds.
The next victory for Central came via No. 10 Donald Griffin at 157 in a 9-5 Decision. Missouri Valley secured victories in the 165, 174, and 184 pound bouts.
No. 18 nationally ranked Elijah Hynes earned a gutsy victory by Fall at 4:44 in the 197-pound match. No. 22 Shelton would fall to No. 6 Joshua Isaac in a 9-6 decision to conclude the evening.
Central will next host Baker University Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 6:30 p.m. inside Puckett Field House.
