No. 16 CMU Falls to No. 18 Vikings on Senior Night

Fayette, Mo. - The No. 16 Central Methodist Men's Wrestling team fell to No. 18 Missouri Valley College in their final home dual of 2024-25 Wednesday night inside Puckett Field House.

Central finishes the dual season with an 8-3 record after Wednesday night's result.

Prior to the dual, Central honored its 2024-25 Senior Class, which included Garine Gibson, Mitchell Huber, Cody Hughes, Jake Henson, Colton King, James Griffin, Sincere Hall-Osbourne, and Nevertesonne Lahens.

CMU dropped its first three duals of the night before Lahens secured an 11-7 victory in the 149-pound bout. Griffin, who is No. 2 nationally ranked at 157 pounds, secured a 6-3 decision.

Hall-Osbourne, ranked 12th at 184 pounds, secured a win with a third-period pin in his bout. No. 7 Austin Foye took care of business in the final dual of the night, picking up a 3-1 dual victory at 285 pounds.

Central turns its attention to the postseason, beginning with the Heart of America Conference Championships on Friday, Feb. 21, on the William Penn University campus in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
