Joplin, Mo. The Central Methodist University men's cross country team finished in seventh place out of 20 teams on Saturday at the Southern Stampede in Joplin, Missouri, hosted by Missouri Southern State University.

Brett Davis finished in eighth place, to lead all Eagle runners. His final time was 26:36.75.

Both Doug Hutcherson and Cody Klemp set their lifetime best times in the 8k on Saturday. Hutcherson finished in 69^th place out of 142 runners with a time of 28:25.85. While Klemp finished in 77^th place with a time of 28:43.60.
