Utley wins the award for the fifth time this season. The Trenton, Mo., native became the school's all-time strikeout leader Saturday and led the Eagles to their third-straight HAAC Championship Series title last week, posting three complete-game victories over Graceland (Iowa), Baker (Kan.) and MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.).
Utley allowed only two earned runs in 19 innings pitched while striking out 18 and walking just two batters.
Utley (24-1)�has tossed 24 complete games and 13 shutouts, the most in a season in school history. She ranks first all-time in Central Methodist history in wins (92) and strikeouts (552).
No. 14 Central Methodist has won nine-straight games and is 41-6, the best record in school history.
