BOONVILLE, Mo. - The Central Methodist women's golf team sits in sixth place after the first day of the Heart of America Athletic Conference Women's Golf Tournament at Hail Ridge Golf Course. The Eagles carded a 400 as a team on Monday.
The Eagles' Kelli Esquivel is ties for 13th after shooting a 94 through 18 holes. In 18th place is�Kayla Esquivel, who shot a 100. Jessie Norton is one stroke behind and is in 19th. Tied for�24th is�Mallorie Renth, who carded a 105 on Monday.
Avila leads the team portion after firing a 356 on the first day of the tournament. Culver-Stockton's Megan Miche in first on the leader board after carding a 79.
The tournament will conclude on Tuesday. The individual champion will automatically qualify for the NAIA Women's Golf Tournament in Greeneville, Tenn.
