BOONVILLE, Mo. - Ty Lieberman has played the Hail Ridge Golf Course since the age of eight. You could say it is not only Central Methodist's home course, it is also Lieberman's. The junior men's golfer made himself right at home, firing a two-under 69 Tuesday to finish six-under for the Eagle Open and win the event while also leading Central Methodist to the team championship.

The Central Methodist men's golf team totaled a 581 (287-294) and won by 11 strokes over second-place Evangel (Mo.).

Lieberman, who owns the course record with a 61, totaled a 136 (67-69) in the two-day, Par-71 tournament to win by seven strokes. Brad Howell finished third with an even-par on Tuesday, totaling 145 (74-71). Both players were named to the Men's All-Tournament Team.

The Eagles' Austin Rapp tied for ninth after carding a 150 (72-78). Nathaniel Oliver tied for 18th overall with a 154 (74-80).

On the women's side, Central Methodist placed fifth with a two-day total of 747 (369-378). Kayla Esquivel led the charge with a 16th place finish after firing a 181 (90-91) on the Par-72 course. Alannah Hustead was 18th with a 187 (94-93). Kelli Esquivel tied for 19th with a 190 (94-96). Jessie Norton finished tied for 27th with a 199 (91-108), while Ashley Spaulding was tied for 29th with a 204 (106-98).

Central Methodist participates in the Baker Invitational on April 24-25.
