BOONVILLE, Mo. - Central Methodist finished sixth in the Eagle Open on Tuesday at Hail Ridge Golf Course. The Eagles carded a 358 on the Par-72, 5,818-yard course.
Because play yesterday was canceled due to rain, the teams played 27 holes on Tuesday, with 18 coming in the first round and nine in the second. The women's teams played the front nine of the course in the final round, but results accepted by Golfstat are based on 18 holes due to scoring rules.
The Eagles' Alannah Hustead tied for 12th overall after carding an 86 (41-45) on 18 holes. Allison Quigley came in 16th after shooting an 88 (44-44). Jamie Gisburne tied for 17th with an 89 (44-45). Ashley Spaulding tied for 23rd after recording a 95 (49-46). Jessi Norton finished the tournament in 32nd place with a 99 (51-48).
No. 22 William Penn (Iowa) won the team portion of the Open with a 313. The Statesman's Demi Coertze won the individual championship with a three-over 75 (38-37).
Central Methodist participates in the Heart of America Athletic Conference championship April 28-29 at Indian Hills Golf Course in Marshall, Mo.
