KANSAS CITY The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced that Central Methodist's Allison Quigley was among the 129 women's golf student-athletes to have been named 2015 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
Quigley ended the 2015 spring golf season by tying for 13th place at the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championships, held on April 27 and 28 in Marshall, Mo., shooting a two-day score of 183. Quigley placed in the top-15 at each of Central Methodist's final five tournaments of the spring season. Her best finish came on April 15 and 16, when she tied for 10th place at the Baker Invitational, shooting a 177 for a two-day score.
Clarke (Iowa) and Ottawa (Kan.) led all institutions with four individuals each on the list.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director for this honor, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.
