Silvis, Ill. - The Central Methodist women's golf program competed in a shortened TPC Deere Run Classic Monday afternoon in Silvis, Ill. 

The field featured 100 golfers from 20 different institutions from across the country, including 13 programs ranked in the Top 25. The tournament was only able to be completed through 18 holes on Monday, with Tuesday being canceled due to freezing temperatures. 

Central posted a 16th place finish with a single round score of 371. 

Freshman Mechelle Vermillion was Central's highest finisher, as the native of Wagoner, Okla. posted a score of 90. Senior Alea Andrade followed one stroke back at 91 to finish T61. Sarah Krenowicz, Hailey Richard, and Riley Burns also competed for the Eagles. 

CMU will conclude Fall competition at the Heart of America Conference Preview Oct. 24-25 at The Preserve in Moravia, Iowa.
