Oskaloosa, Iowa – Central Methodist Women's Golf competed Wednesday at the William Penn Spring Statesmen Shootout, turning in several individual performances in a single-round event.
The Eagles did not record a team score but were represented by four golfers on the leaderboard, led by Paige Bender, who paced CMU with a 95 to finish tied for 19th overall.
Bender's effort placed her among a tightly contested middle of the field, as she shared the position with competitors from Des Moines Area CC, North Central Missouri, and host William Penn.
Lindsey Burbridge followed with a score of 112 to finish tied for 30th, while Raylee Young carded a 142 to place 32nd. Sophia Duque began her round but did not finish.
The event featured strong competition across the field, highlighted by Upper Iowa's Addison Weber, who claimed medalist honors with a 77.
Indian Hills CC placed two golfers in a tie for second at 78, setting the pace in a competitive field of regional programs.
