Getting to Know Volleyball's Julia Weber

FAYETTE, Mo. - CMUEagles.com caught up with incoming freshman Julia Weber, a middle hitter on the volleyball team,�for the�first installment of getting to know�the Eagles'�new players.�

Weber�answered a few questions about her hometown and deciding to attend Central Methodist University.

You're from Jackson, Mo.� Talk about your hometown.

In my hometown, we are a close-knit community. People are very supportive of the school programs, including athletics and the arts.

What's popular in your hometown?

Friday nights in the fall, everyone is at the stadium watching football.�I like to go to the restaurant El Toreros, find places to swim and play a lot of sand volleyball.

What made you choose Central Methodist?

I chose CMU because everyone there was extremely nice and welcoming. My family has also attended CMU.

What are you looking forward to in college?

I am looking forward to playing volleyball and making a lot of new friends.

Aside from volleyball, what activities do you enjoy?

I enjoy running, dancing and hanging out with my friends.

Do you have a gameday ritual?

I don't really have a gameday ritual, but I have some lucky headbands that I wear.

Describe your game and what you do well.

Volleyball is a very mental game, and for me, it's all about that. Being able to work hard and play with a positive attitude in all situations is definitely a strong area for me.
