FAYETTE, Mo. - Central Methodist University volleyball outside hitter Katie Dozier and middle hitter Julia Weber posted a match-high nine kills apiece in a 3-1 victory Tuesday night over Stephens College inside Puckett Field House.
The Eagles (4-9), who defeated the Stars (4-6) by scores of 25-17, 21-25, 25-12 and 25-9,�also received six kills each from outside hitter Makenzie Shepard and middle hitter Allie Slaton. Defensive specialist Jennifer Garrett came up with 16 digs, while defensive specialists Kristi Miller and Hannah Babcock had 13 apiece. Babcock also had five service aces.
Central Methodist setter Sarah Lewey added nine digs and a match-high 20 assists. Setter Kylie Melkersman dished out 16 assists.
Outside hitter Madison Reale led Stephens offensively with seven kills. Libero Logan Weber netted a match-high 22 digs. Lanie Hurt had 15 assists from her setter position.
Central Methodist had 10 service aces compared to only five by the Stars.
The Eagles will host Culver-Stockton College on Tuesday, Sept. 25. First serve from Puckett Field House is set for 7 p.m. CT.
