FULTON, Mo. - The Central Methodist University volleyball team dropped a pair of matches Friday afternoon to host William Woods University and Westminster College. The Eagles (4-12) lost both matches in four sets.

Central Methodist fell to the Owls by scores of 17-25, 23-25, 25-19 and 20-25. Outside hitter Katie Dozier led the Eagles offensively with 10 kills, while outside hitters Dana Peters and Taylor Russell had nine apiece. Rebecca Edwards posted 15 digs to go along with Jennifer Garrett's 14 and Kristi Miller's 10. Kylie Melkersman and Sarah Lewey dished out 15 and 14 assists, respectively.

The Eagles lost to the Blue Jays by scores of 25-18, 14-25, 20-25 and 12-25. Peters led the Green and Black with 10 kills, while Dozier, Shelby Rice and Julia Weber each had six. Hannah Babcock came up with 10 digs. Melkersman and Lewey recorded 16 and 15 assists, respectively. Lewey also had two of the team's six service aces in the match.

Central Methodist will host Graceland University on Tuesday, Oct. 2. First serve is set for 7 p.m. CT.
