FAYETTE - Travis Dalton has been hired as a graduate assistant with the Central Methodist volleyball program, coach Allison Jones-Olson announced. Dalton will begin his duties immediately.
2013 will mark Dalton's seventh year of coaching volleyball.
"I look forward to being part of building a strong program at Central Methodist alongside Allison," Dalton said. "The school and community support athletics very well, and I am excited to become part of the Eagle family."�
The Gladstone, Mo., native rejoins Jones-Olson's staff after serving as a student assistant for her at William Jewell (Mo.) from 2009-12. He will join current Central Methodist volleyball graduate assistants Kelli Miller and Lauren Noble.

Dalton served as a student assistant and team manager for North Kansas City High School under coach Katie Dowden from 2005-08. He helped guide the Hornets to two District Championships in 2005 and 2008.�
Dalton has coached club volleyball for the Kansas City Extreme and most recently the Sandshark Volleyball Club in Kansas City. �Some notable finishes for Dalton's teams include five top-10 finishes in regional competition, three trips to Junior Olympic Nationals, three top-5 finishes at Junior National Qualifiers and numerous first and second place finishes in region tournaments. �
Dalton earned his Bachelor's degree in Accounting from William Jewell and is pursuing a Master's degree at Central Methodist.
