FAYETTE, Mo. - Hannibal-LaGrange (Mo.) pulled a four-game upset of Central Methodist on Tuesday evening inside Puckett Fieldhouse. The Trojans defeated the Eagles by scores of 25-22, 20-25, 25-12 and 25-19 and ended the Green and Black's three-match win streak.
Lindsay Smith paced Hannibal-LaGrange (3-7) with a double-double, totaling 21 kills and 13 digs. Lacey Smith had 12 kills. Carli Penrod and Josie Corbett came up with 18 and 15 digs, respectively. Kelly Gould dished out 41 assists.
Jordan Jackson posted her fifth straight match with double-digit kills for Central Methodist (10-4), recording 12 on Tuesday. Dana Peters, Julia Weber and Jennifer Long each had eight.
The Eagles' Haley Willis and Jennifer Garrett netted 14 and 10 digs, respectively. Hannah Willis had eight. Christine Koepke and Kylie Melkersman dished out 22 and 11 assists, respectively.
Central Methodist will participate in the 1,000 Oaks Invitational at Peru State (Neb.) on Friday, Sept. 20, against the Bobcats (1 p.m. CT) in a non-conference match and versus Clarke (Iowa) at 3 p.m.
