Lopez, Hanson claim HAAC weekly honors
KANSAS CITY, Mo - Central Methodist senior Andrea Lopez and sophomore Melody Hanson have been named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Libero and Setter of the Week, respectively, the league office announced Monday morning.

The Eagles defeated Benedictine (Kan.) in four sets last week, their first win in Ralph Nolan Gymnasium since 2007, and have won four matches in a row.

Lopez helped Central Methodist to its second-straight win over the Ravens with a match-high 29 digs. The Kansas City native is tied for second in the league averaging 5.3 digs per set.

Hanson recorded a double-double (14 digs, 23 assists) in the win in Atchison, Kan., to go along with one service ace. The Spring Hill, Kan., native has posted a double-double in three of her last five matches and ranks seventh in the conference in assists per set (5.5)

Central Methodist hosts Graceland (Iowa) for Senior Night on Tuesday, Nov. 4. First serve inside Puckett Field House is set for 7 p.m. CT.
