Atchison, Kan. The Central Methodist University volleyball team finished up their roadtrip on Wednesday evening in Atchison, Kansas, where the Lady Eagles defeated Benedictine 3-0. Final scores were 25-20, 25-4, and 25-18.

With the victory, the Lady Eagles improve to 12-5 overall and 2-2 in Heart of America Athletic Conference play. With the loss, Benedictine falls to 4-8 overall and 0-4 in Heart of America Athletic Conference play.

Central Methodist dominated on Wednesday evening, in one of their best matches this season. CMU led in every statistical category and served up 11 aces to just one for Benedictine.

Darcy Latham led the Lady Eagles with nine kills and four aces. Marina Alves and Madison Bond both finished with a team best two blocks each, while Savvy Hughes finished with a team high 15 assists.

The Lady Eagles return home this Friday to Puckett Fieldhouse to host the Hannibal-LaGrange Trojans. The match is scheduled to start at 7pm.
