Fayette, Mo. The Central Methodist University volleyball team came from behind to defeat the Graceland University YellowJackets by a final of 3-1 on Tuesday evening inside of Puckett Field House. Final scores were: 16-25, 25-22, 25-23, and 25-21.

With the victory, the Lady Eagles improve to 14-5 overall and 3-2 in Heart of America Athletic Conference play. With the loss, Graceland falls to 9-10 overall and 2-2 in The Heart.

It was a high energy first set inside of Puckett Field House on Tuesday evening. Graceland came out and shocked the Lady Eagles, stealing the first set 25-16.

Central Methodist was able to regroup following the first set and became untouchable. CMU rallied to win the second, third, and fourth sets by finals of 25-22, 25-23, and 25-21.

Darcy Latham led the team with 12 kills, and she also led the team with three aces on the night. Savvy Hughes had 16 assists to lead CMU, while Erin Dodd led the Lady Eagles with 23 digs.

The Lady Eagles close out this three match homestand on Friday against a non-conference opponent; Stephens College from Columbia. The match is scheduled to begin at 7pm inside of Puckett Field House.
