With the loss, Central Methodist falls to 24-7 overall and 4-4 in Heart of America Athletic Conference play. With the victory, the 13th ranked Evangel University Crusaders improve to 31-3 overall and remain perfect at 9-0 in The Heart.

It was an uncharacteristic night for the Lady Eagles, as Evangel outdid Central Methodist in just about every statistical category. CMU got stronger and stronger as the match went on, but Evangel proved to be too strong on Tuesday.

Lindsay Smith and Darcy Latham led CMU in kills with eight and seven each respectively. Melissa Mikesch served the only ace of the night for the Lady Eagles. Once again, Savvy Hughes led the squad in assists with 15, while Erin Dodd led CMU with 17 digs.

Tuesday's loss snapped a four match win streak for Central Methodist. CMU has four matches left this season, with the next three at home before closing out the regular season at Grand View on November 3rd.

Central Methodist returns home this Friday to begin a three match homestand. Up first is Avila University at 7pm this Friday inside of Puckett Field House.
