Fayette, Mo. – Following a perfect 3-0 day on Friday, the Central Methodist University volleyball team won their final two matches on Saturday, to cap off a perfect 2016 CMU Volleyball Invite.

With the pair of victories, CMU improves to 32-3 overall on the season and have won 21 straight matches; a program record.

Central Methodist came out on a tear on Saturday, and picked up right where they left off on Friday evening. CMU squared off with Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College to begin the day, and won 3-0. Final scores were: 25-12, 25-22, and 25-13.

The second and final match of the day for Central, put the Eagles up against the Stephens Stars. CMU defeated the Stars earlier this season in Columbia, and had their way once again on Saturday. Central won 3-1. Final scores were: 25-16, 30-32, 25-10, and 25-16.

Central finished play in the 2016 CMU Volleyball Invite with a perfect 5-0 record. The Eagles won 15 out of the 17 sets they played in this weekend.

Following play in the 2016 CMU Volleyball Tournament, the coaches announced their All-Tournament Team. It includes: Khristina Schellentrafer from Hannibal-LaGrange University, Madeline Howes from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, Megan Bohn from Friends University, Logan Allen from College of the Ozarks, Erin Dodd (SR/Pittsburg, Ill.) from CMU, Danielle Craven from Stephens College, Emily Poynor from Crowley's Ridge College, and Madison Bond (JR/Jefferson City, Mo.) from CMU.

The Eagles return to Heart of America Athletic Conference play this Tuesday, when CMU welcomes Baker University to town. First serve from Puckett Field House is scheduled for 7pm.
