Fayette, Mo. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced their 2016 NAIA Regional Awards late last week, with Central Methodist University junior Madison Bond (JR/Jefferson City, Mo.) earning a spot on the Midwest Region's Honorable Mention list.
"I am very excited that Madison (Bond) has been named to the All-Region team," said CMU head volleyball coach Allison Jones-Olson. "She had an outstanding season for us, and has been a leader both on and off the court."
Madison Bond finished her junior year as one of the leaders for a young CMU squad. Bond finished with a .344 attack percentage; tops on CMU, and finished second on the team with 357 kills. Bond had a set percentage of .447, and finished with a team high 142 blocks. She averaged close to a block per game, and finished second on the team in total points scored.
Bond was joined on the Midwest Region team with nine other players from the Heart of America Athletic Conference.
