KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the first time in program history, the Central Methodist volleyball team had two players named to NAIA All-American teams in the same season, announced on Tuesday by the NAIA national office.
Jane Kickham (JR/Springfield, Mo.) and Marija Janjusevic (SR/Belgrade, Serbia) are the fifth and sixth All-Americans in program history. Darcy Latham was the last Eagle to receive the honor, earning Third-Team status in 2017.
Kickham is the second First-Team All-American that Central Methodist has produced, joining Edna Chumo in 2003. In her first season in Fayette, Kickham was named First-Team All-Heart and Heart Player of the Year. A six-rotation player, Kickham finished the season with 379 kills (averaging 3.2 per set) and 423 digs.
Janjusevic finished her career at Central Methodist by receiving Honorable Mention All-American recognition. A two-time All-Heart performer, Janjusevic finished the season ranked 30th in the nation with a .314 hitting percentage, totaling 362 kills and 50 blocks.
Central Methodist finished the season with a 32-8 record, qualifying for the NAIA Women's Volleyball National Tournament for the first time in school history.
