Volleyball announces rescheduled matches

Fayette, Mo. - The Central Methodist University volleyball program has announced rescheduled dates for its remaining conference competitions this fall.

CMU volleyball will travel to MNU Saturday, Oct. 24 for a 2:00 p.m. match against the Pioneers in Olathe, Kan. The Eagles will then play Evangel Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 7:00 p.m. in Springfield match, before returning home to host Heart newcomer Park University on Oct. 30 at 7:00 p.m. in Puckett Fieldhouse.

Central will play in two more road matches against Missouri Valley (11/4) and Benedictine (11/5). CMU will host its final two matches of the regular season vs. Baker (11/8) and Evangel (11/10). The Nov. 8 match against the Wildcats will also serve as senior day for Eagles' volleyball, as the 2020 senior class will be honored prior to the first serve.

The original postseason tournament schedule for women's volleyball will be delayed one week to allow programs a longer runway for rescheduling contests during the fall semester. The setup of the tournament is still the same with eight teams qualifying and competing in three rounds hosted by the higher seed (quarterfinals, semifinals, championship). Due to the cross-division adjustment for women's volleyball, the qualifiers for the conference tournament will now be the top four finishers of each division. The adjusted tournament dates are November 14, 17, & 21.
