Kansas City, Mo. - Junior libero Krystal Brauner was tabbed as this week's Heart Volleyball Defender of the Week, as announced by the conference office Monday. 

The Jefferson City, Mo. native averaged 6.2 digs/set in the Eagles' three matches including 32 digs against No. 20 Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) and 25 against No. 1 and defending NAIA National Champion Missouri Baptist. 

Through 11 matches this season, Brauner has tallied 206 total digs and a team leading 14 service aces. 

Central opens up conference action with a matchup against MidAmerica Nazarene Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 7:00 p.m. inside Puckett Fieldhouse.
