Olathe, Kan. - The No. 11 Central Methodist volleyball team completed the season sweep over fellow Heart foe MNU, defeating the Pioneers in straight sets, 25-18, 25-21, and 25-18 Tuesday nigh in Olathe, Kan. 

With the win, Central improves to 17-3 and 8-1 in the Heart, while the Pioneers now stand at 9-13 and 4-5 in conference play. 

Overall, the Eagles have now swept eight opponents in 2021, five of which have been in Heart action. 

The duo of Grace Unnvik and Callie Henson led the Central offense with 13 and 12 kills respectively, while Annabelle Maassen tallied eight. 

Marina Alonso dished out a team-high 21 assists followed by Yenne Schepers with 18. On the defensive side, Krystal Brauner recorded a team-high 20 digs while both Sydni Basler and Maassen picked up 11. Unnvik matched her season-high with seven blocks, followed by Jordan Wolfe with six. 

Overall the Central defense finished the evening with 16 blocks, and held the Pioneers to just a .094 attacking percentage along with 23 errors. 

CMU returns home to host Grand View University Thursday, Oct. 7 at 7:00 p.m. inside Puckett Field House.
