Fayette, Mo. - The No. 11 Central Methodist volleyball team continues to roll in conference play, completing another sweep over William Penn University by scores of 25-22, 25-15, and 25-10 Friday night inside Puckett Field House.
Central improves its overall record to 19-3 and 10-1 in the Heart, while the Statesmen fall to 11-9 and 4-6 in conference action.
CMU's offense was paced by Grace Unnvik, who tallied 12 kills on 14 swings for an outstanding .857 hitting percentage, a new season's best for the Concordia, Mo. native. She also collected five blocks.
Callie Henson followed with eight kills, while Jordan Wolfe collected seven, Sydney Healy six and Annabelle Maassen five. Marina Alonso dished out 20 assists while fellow setter Yenne Schepers recorded 15. On the defensive side, Krystal Brauner was the only Eagle to record double-digit digs with 13.
Overall, Central's offense finished the evening with a .380 hitting percentage compared to just .053 for the Statesmen.
CMU will make the short trip west to face rival Missouri Valley College Tuesday, Oct. 12 at 7:00 p.m. in Marshall, Mo. The Eagles will look for the season sweep over the Vikings, having previously defeating Missouri Valley in straight sets on Sept. 21 in Fayette.
