Kansas City, Mo. - After a stellar outing in three matches this past week, senior middle blocker Grace Unnvik was tabbed as the NAIA Women's Volleyball National Attacker of the Week.
The Concordia, Mo. native led No. 11 Central to three-straight sweeps this past week over MNU, No. 24 Grand View, and William Penn. She averaged 3.89 kills/set and an impressive .647 hitting percentage in three matches.
Against the nationally-ranked Vikings, Unnvik hit a stifling .857 with 12 kills on just 14 attempts. Overall, she tallied 17 total blocks and 25 kills.
Unnvik is currently the team leader in hitting percentage (.387) and is second in kills (220). Through her three and a half years as an Eagle, she has recorded 883 total kills, good enough for fourth all-time in program history.
The Eagles make the short trip to face rival Missouri Valley College Tuesday, Oct. 12 at 7:00 p.m. in Marshall, Mo.
