Des Moines, Iowa - In a thrilling five-set match, the Central Methodist volleyball program bounced back from two sets down to defeat Grand View University in the Heart semifinals by scores of 23-25, 23-25, 25-21, 27-25, and 15-13 Tuesday night in Des Moines, Iowa. 

With the win, Central advances back to the Heart title match for the fourth-straight season, improving their overall record to 28-6 and 16-3.

Grand View jumped out to a two-set lead, narrowly edging the Eagles in the first two sets by identical scores. CMU bounced back claiming the next three sets, earning a gutsy 3-2 match victory. 

Delaney Miller led the offense with a career-high 18 kills on 25 swings, good for a hitting percentage of .720 along with three blocks assists. The duo of Callie Henson and Jordan Wolfe tallied 14 kills each, while Annabelle Maassen finished the evening with 10. 

Maassen also recorded 15 digs, good enough to earn a double-double. Marina Alonso dished out a team-high 31 assists paired with 13 digs, joining Maassen in the double-double club. Fellow setter Yenne Schepers also reached double-figure assists with 24 paired with nine digs. 

Krystal Brauner led the defense with a match-high 39 digs and Hannah Marcee tallied five blocks followed by Wolfe with four and Miller three. 

Central will travel to Parkville, Mo. to square off against Heart Regular Season Champion Park University in a rematch of last year's Heart tournament title match. Park claimed the earlier match between the two teams in four sets (24-26, 14-25, 25-21, and 18-25) back on Oct. 19 in Puckett Field House
