Dubuque, Iowa - The No. 16 Central Methodist volleyball program completed its third consecutive sweep Friday night, defeating the Clarke University Pride by scores of 25-20, 25-17, and 25-13 in Dubuque, Iowa. 

With the victory, Central improves to 10-4 overall and 4-3 in the Heart, while the Pride fall to 3-11 and 0-7 in conference play. 

The Eagles had a balanced attack up and down the lineup, led by Annabelle Maassen who hit .333 with eight kills on 21 swings. The sophomore from Jefferson City also recorded 10 digs to earn a double-double. 

Freshman Rita Campos followed with seven kills and two service aces. The duo of Sydney Healy and Delaney Miller each picked up five kills. Senior setter Marina Alonso and sophomore Gabi Owczarek each dished out 11 assists, while Alonso added seven digs. Shea Luby and Krystal Brauner matched Alsono with seven digs apiece. 

Callie Henson and Joana Milho each collected three blocks. Overall, Central's defense held the Pride attackers to a .062 hitting percentage including a match low -.062 in the third set. In addition, Central limited their mistakes, committing only 10 attacking errors in 90 attempts compared to 23 errors for Clarke. 

CMU's attack improved as the match progressed, hitting .330 or better through their final two sets. 

Central will conclude its weekend roadtrip of Iowa with a Saturday matinee against Mount Mercy University beginning at 2:00 p.m. in Cedar Rapids. The Mustangs currently sport the best record in the Heart North Division at 11-3 and 4-2 in conference play.
