Eagles Swept by Pioneers in Heart Tournament Semifinals

Olathe, Kan. - The No. 5 Central Methodist Volleyball program fell in the semifinals of the Heart Conference Tournament to No. 1 MidAmerica Nazarene University in straight sets by scores of 25-16, 25-19, 25-22 Tuesday night in Olathe, Kan.

Central now stands at 21-8, while MNU improves to 27-1 and advances to the Heart Title match against No. 2 Park Saturday.

Callie Henson led the offense with 11 kills while Delaney Miller added six. Sophomore setter Yenne Schepers dished out a team-high 11 assists paired with seven digs.

Gabi Owczarek added nine assists and six digs, while Krystal Brauner finished the evening with 16 digs. Senior Shea Luby also picked up 11 digs.

The Eagles will now await to see where they land in the Opening Round of the NAIA National Tournament. The anouncement of qualifiers will be revealed Monday, Nov. 10 at 10:00 a.m. on the NAIA Youtube Page.
