Kansas City, Mo. - For the second consecutive season, Central Methodist junior opposite hitter Callie Henson was named an NAIA Women's Volleyball All-American by the national office Friday morning.
Henson, a native of Jefferson City, Mo., earned Third Team honors for the second-straight year.
She appeared in all 30 matches for CMU in 2022, racking up double-digit kills on 22 different occassions including a season's best 20 against Bellevue on Sept. 2. Henson finished the year ranked second in the Heart in kills/set (3.47), third in kills (364), and fifth in hitting percentage (.309).
In addition to All-America honors, she was also named to the All-Midwest Region First Team by the America Volleyball Coaches' Association. For her play in the conference, Henson was recognized as the Heart Attacker of the Year and a First Team All-Conference selection.
She was twice named Heart Attacker of the Week and is now a two-time All-American, two-time All-Region, and four-time Heart All-Conference selection.
Henson will enter her senior season in 2023 with 1201 career kills, just 261 shy of the program record set by Darcy Latham from 2014-17.
