McPherson, Kan – The (RV) Central Methodist Volleyball program swept Tabor College on the second day of the McPherson Invitational by scores of 25-18, 25-18, and 25-17 Friday morning in McPherson, Kansas.
Jefferson College transfer, Summer Hake led the offensive attack with four kills on four attempts and no errors. Junior Luciana Araujo added eight kills and two solo blocks defensively.
The duo of Martina Gonzato and Hailey Dreier each produced six kills hitting at a .308 and .545 clip respectively.
Jazmine Srun ended the morning with 15 assists, followed by Mariah Bostic-Jones with 14.
Additionally, Srun and Lauryn Farish both picked up three service aces.
Freshman Vitoria Martins led in the digs column with 13, followed by Joana Milho with nine, and Srun with five.
As a team, Central finished with a .225 hitting percentage compared to Tabor with .063.
The Eagles now stand at 4-2 in their early non-conference schedule. They will conclude their run at the McPherson Invitational Saturday morning with matchups against Doane College (9:00 a.m.) and (RV) Bethel (11:30 a.m.).
