Lamoni, Iowa - After a tough road game Wednesday evening, the Central Methodist Volleyball program responded with a three-set sweep over Graceland University Friday night in Lamoni, Iowa.
Central took down the Yellowjackets by scores of 28-26, 25-10, and 25-22.
The Eagles started off slow offensively in the first set, but bounced back in the second with a .368 team hitting percentage. Additionally, Central held Graceland to just 10 points.
Joana Milho led the offense with nine kills on 18 swings for a .389 hitting percentage. She also finished with 11 digs and a block.
Martina Gonzato followed with six kills while Lauryn Farish and Luciana Araujo each registered three.
Mariah Bostic-Jones dished out 11 assists while Ramsey Spinks collected seven. On the defensive side, Sydney Bollenbach tallied eight digs followed by Farish and Gonzato with five.
As a team, Central aced Graceland 11 total times, with Bostic-Jones leading the way for the Eagles with four service aces.
The Eagles now stand at 10-4 overall and 2-2 in conference play.
The Eagles will continue conference play at home on Tuesday against Culver-Stockton College at 7:00 p.m. inside Puckett Field House.
