Fayette, Mo. - The (RV) Central Methodist Volleyball program completed its second straight sweep, defeating Culver-Stockton College by scores of 25-19, 25-20, and 25-16 Tuesday night inside Puckett Field House.
With the win, Central now stands at 11-4 and 3-2 in the Heart of America. CS-C falls to 6-10 and 2-6 in conference action.
The Eagles were led by several strong offensive performances throughout the evening. Martina Gonzato led the way with 16 kills on 24 swings for a .625 hitting percentage.
Hailey Dreier also landed in double-digits with 11 kills and just two attack errors. Luciana Araujo rounded out the trio with 10 kills on 14 swings.
Joana Milho finished the night with eight kills, three digs, and a pair of service aces.
Mariah Bostic-Jones dished out a season's best 27 assists, while also adding four digs and a service ace. Ramsey Spinks also landed in double-digit assists with 16.
Summer Hake led the defense with three blocks, followed by Leticia Barea and Gonzato with two.
As a team, Central hit an impressive .451 hitting percentage, compared to just .122 for the Wildcats.
The Eagles remain at home to host No. 10 nationally ranked Missouri Baptist on Thursday, Sept. 25, at 7:00 p.m. inside Puckett Field House.
