Canton, Mo. –The Central Methodist Volleyball program secured its fourth straight win with a quick three-set sweep of Culver-Stockton College Tuesday night in Canton, Missouri.
Central defeated the Wildcats in straight sets by scores of 25-17, 25-13, and 25-16.
Every Eagle saw action in the match, with Luciana Araujo and Joana Milho leading the attack with seven kills apiece. Nine additional players contributed at least two kills, showcasing a balanced and well-rounded offensive effort.
Ramsey Spinks led the setters with 18 assists, seven digs, and a pair of service aces. Fellow setter, sophomore Mariah Bostic-Jones, dished out 12 assists and added a pair of service aces.
Freshman Vitoria Martins led the defense with 22 digs and added four assists.
As a team, Central hit .299 with only 13 attack errors, compared to a -.011-attack percentage for Culver-Stockton.
CMU improves its overall record to 15-6 and 7-4 in the Heart of America with Tuesday's win. The Eagles will continue Heart Conference play on Friday against Baker for the annual Pink Out game.
Central won the first matchup between the two sides in straight sets back on Sept. 23 inside Puckett Field House.
