Marshall, Mo. – The Central Methodist Volleyball program secured another Heart of America win with a sweep over Missouri Valley College Tuesday night.

CMU took the match in straight sets by scores of 28-26, 25-19, and 25-22. With the win, the Eagles improve to 19-7overall and 11-5 in the Heart of America. Missouri Valley drops to 13-15 and 6-11 in conference play.

The Eagles' offense was balanced and efficient, with Junior Luciana Araujo leading the way with nine kills for a .231 hitting percentage. Jefferson City native Summer Hake followed closely behind, contributing eight kills while hitting .385 and adding five total blocks to the match.

Martina Gonzato and Joana Milho chipped in six kills apiece, while Senior Hailey Dreier added four kills and two service aces.

Freshman setter Ramsey Spinks dished out 23 assists, and Mariah Bostic-Jones added 13 more while collecting 11 digs on the defensive end.

Vitoria Martins anchored the back row with a team-high 18 digs, helping the Eagles hold Missouri Valley to just a .063 hitting percentage.

The Eagles continue conference play Friday night inside Puckett Field House, against the Benedictine Ravens at 7:00 p.m.
