Fayette, Mo. - The Central Methodist Volleyball program earned the No. 4 seed in the Heart of America Conference Tournament, which began Saturday at various sites around the conference.
Central matched up against the No. 5-seeded Park, a team that they previously beat in a five-set thriller on Oct. 25.
Central fell to No. 5-seeded Park in four sets by scores of 20-25, 25-23, 23-25, and 24-26.
Joana Milho led the Central offense with 18 kills to go along with 16 digs to secure a double-double. The senior from Lisboa, Portugal, also added three service aces to her stat line.
Junior Martina Gonzato followed with 12 kills and also added five digs.
Sophomore Mariah Bostic-Jones led the setters with 27 assists paired with six digs.
Freshman setter Ramsey Spinks dished out 11 assists in addition to four digs.
Freshman libero Vitoria Martins led defensively with 18 digs to go along with four assists. In addition, Ines Paredes tallied 12 digs in the column.
The Eagles will now wait to see if they have earned an at-large bid into this year's NAIA National Tournament. The field will be announced on Monday, Nov. 17, at 4:00 p.m. on the NAIA YouTube page.
