MARSHALL, Mo. – Six members of the Central Methodist women's wrestling team competed in the highly-competitive Missouri Valley Open on Sunday.

Over 40 teams from around the country converged on Marshall in one of the largest collegiate women's wrestling events in the country.

Madlyne Navarro (FR/Oceanside, Calif.) led the way for the Eagles, finishing in eighth place with a 4-2 record. She worked her back through the consolation bracket after falling in the second round. She picked up bonus points in each of her wins, earning one technical fall and three pins.

Central Methodist returns to action on Thursday in a dual against Grand View. Wrestling is set to start at 6 pm.
