MANHEIM, PA - The National Wrestling Coaches Association has announced the full slate of 2019-2020 Scholar All-American Team and Individual honorees for the NAIA Women's Wrestling category with awards going to 59 individuals representing 11 institutions. Central Methodist women's wrestling had two members named to the list.
"On behalf of the NWCA and our Board of Directors it is my honor to recognize these incredible scholar-athletes," said NWCA Executive Director Mike Moyer in the organization's original release. "As women's wrestling continues to explode with opportunities it is exciting to see our list of honorees grow each year."
Madlyne Navarro (FR/Oceanside, Calif.) and Da'Viona Bonner (FR/Bridgeton, Mo.) were recognized on the list of individual award winners. To qualify for the award nomination, individuals had to meet the following criteria:
- Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher
- Must have qualified as a competitor for the 2020 NAIA Women's Wrestling National Invitational
- Must have appeared on the event's official bracket
