St. Louis, Mo. - The Central Methodist women's wrestling program posted a fourth place finish at the Missouri College State Championship Saturday morning in St. Louis, Mo. 

The Eagles were joined at the championship by Lindenwood, Missouri Baptist, Missouri Valley College, Westminster College, and William Jewell College. 

Freshman grappler Abigail Jastal was one of two Eagles to finish atop the podium, as she placed first in the 101-pound weight class. The Monette, Mo. native tallied two wins, with one coming via Fall and the other Tech Fall en-route to a first-place finish. 

Lillian Gough joined Jastal with a top finish on the podium at 136-pounds. After receiving a first-round bye, Gough recorded three-straight wins, highlighted by a 14-7 Decision in the first place match. Freshman Sabrina King posted a third place finish at 123-pounds, claiming victory in three matches including two via Fall. 

Overall, Central tallied 70 total points as a team to finish fourth. Missouri Baptist went on to win the team title with 130 total points, followed by William Jewell College (83.5), and Lindenwood (79). 

The Eagles will next compete at the Warrior Open Saturday, Dec. 11 at 9:00 a.m. in Fort Wayne, Ind.
